Roy Lee Murphy 1944-2022 Roy Lee Murphy of Opelika was born to the late Albert and Lillie Clegg Murphy on January 11, 1944 and passed away in Opelika on March 2, 2022. He was 78 years old. Roy was preceded in death by his 4 brothers and 5 sisters. Roy is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Ann Murphy; son, Rick Murphy; daughter, Deanna Berryhill; sister, Glenda Thrash (Tony); grandchildren, Nathan, Jeremy, Brooke, Kaila, and Dylan; great grandchildren, Riley, Mason, Kaeden, and Tyler. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 11:30 until 12:45 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Brother David Floyd officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
