Royce L. Thrift of Cusseta, Alabama was born to the late Wesley and Ethel Thrift on June 2, 1942 and passed away at his home on November 20, 2016. He was 74 years old. He was preceded in death by his daughter Laura "Sissy" Beavers, and brother Thomas Cleveland Thrift. He is survived by his wife Margaret Thrift; children Tina (Tommy) Smith, Loria (John) Jordan, Felicia Thrift (Jeff Landrum), Gayle (Ricky) Hudmon, Buddy (Jennifer) Mehaffey; grandchildren David Bray, Tiffany Wilson, Jonathan Bray, Charlie Smith, Timothy Beavers, Brittney Long, Ryan Long, Payton Thrift, Dylan Van Horn, Paige Musgrove, Nick Turvin, Madison Schaeffer, Todd Mehaffey; great grandchildren Kallie, Hallie, Devain, Abbi, Drew, Hunter, Hannah, Tyler, Gabriella, Maximus, Austin, Gibson, Bentley, Shayla, Mason, Paisley, and Reese; sisters Linda Hammonds, Rebecca Guess, Anna Laura Guess, and Bonnie (Larry) Carmack; brothers James (Brenda) Thrift, and Richard (Charlene) Thrift. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from Noon until 1:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 23, 2016 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Joe Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 from Noon until 1:45 p.m.
