Ruth W. Story 1948-2021 Ruth W. Story, age 72, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2021. She was born on January 12, 1948 to Woodie and Jessie Wilson in Sardis, AL. Ruth was a 1966 graduate of Sardis High School. Ruth retired from the State of Alabama after 32 years of service as the Court Administrator. Ruth took pride in her work but her greatest pride and joy was her family, especially her grandsons. Ruth is survived by her loving husband Andrew Story, Jr.; children, Michelle Henry of Birmingham, AL. Jodi (Marc) Wells of Opelika, AL. and Rowena Story of Montgomery, AL. grandsons, Andrew Wells, and Lucas Wells; brother, Clark (Charlotte) Wilson of Sardis, AL. as well as several nieces, nephews that she loved dearly. A family graveside service will be held at Garden Hills Cemetery with Dr. Rusty Sowell officiating. The family asks in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Providence Baptist Church Building Fund or to "Trinity Student Ministries" at Trinity United Methodist Church, 800 Second Ave. Opelika, AL. 36801.
