Sara "Sally" Ann Brooks Kitt Watson Ozan

Sara "Sally" Ann Brooks Kitt Watson Ozan passed away on December 11, 2024 at her residence in Opelika, Alabama. She was 85 years old.

She was born in Opelika on September 19, 1939 to the late, Elizabeth Floyd Brooks Ganer and Cecil D. Brooks. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Betsy Brooks Winn; brother, Cecil D. Brooks, Jr., and stepson, Michael Ozan.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Jerome W. Ozan; sons, R. John Watson (Jill) of Houston, TX; Parris J. Kitt (Aimie) of Tyler, TX; daughters, Rebecca Watson Hilyer (Brent) of Opelika, AL; Holly Watson Surrency (Stephen) of Opelika, AL; step-daughter-in-law, Diane Ozan of Houston, TX; step-son, Steven Ozan of San Antonio, TX; step-daughter, Lisa Ozan Hester of Muscatine, Iowa; honorary daughter, April Persall (Jeremy) of Huntsville, AL; 21 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; half-brother, Dennis J. Brooks (Deborah) of Huntsville, AL; half-sister, Janice Brooks Joly of Bordeaux, France; and many loving friends and family members.

She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church in Opelika where she was a member of the morning United Methodist Woman Group and president of the UMW Montgomery Opelika District of the Alabama- Florida Conference. She was a past member of the Lee County Pilot Club and Opelika Civitan Club. She was a Commercial Property Manager for 20 years in Texas and retired as a Commercial Customer Service Representative with J. Smith Lanier & Co. in Opelika. She also worked for 4 years as a bookkeeper for the East Alabama Youth for Christ.

Sally was vibrant, loving, and "the life of the party". She will be dearly missed.
