Selma B. Holt was born to the late Roosevelt and Vessie Mae Elkins on October 3, 1925 and passed away on November 13, 2016 at her home in Opelika. She was 91 years old. She was preceded in death by her daughters Shirley Ruth Phillips and Barbara Downing; husbands Ercil E. Holt, and C.R. Holt. She is survived by her daughter Betty J. Whatley (John Edward); son Melvin Holt (Myrtle); grandchildren Jimbo Holt, Rebecca Mann (Andy), Jeanie Roney (Don); great grandchildren Joshua Perkins, Jessica Kitt, Stephen Henderson; great-great grandchild Alexis Rayne. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from Noon until 1:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend David Floyd officiating. Interment will follow at Holt Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home on Thursday, November 17, 2016 from Noon until 1:00 p.m.
