Shirley Corr McBurney

Shirley Corr McBurney, age 88 was born in Opelika on September 19, 1934 and passed away at Arbor Springs Health and Rehab in Opelika on April 9, 2023.

She was born to the late Cecil W. Corr and Lillian Johnson Corr.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Raymond J. McBurney Jr., sister Carol Corr Holley and great-grandson Jameson Tyler McBurney. She is survived by her sons, John McBurney (Jill), Doug McBurney (Denise), and Charles McBurney (Dianne); daughter, Elizabeth Dixon (Keith); brother-in-law Robert McBurney (Faye); 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

A private funeral service was held April 11 at the Rosemere Cemetery in Opelika.

Frederick-Dean Funeral Home handled all arrangements.
