Steven Russell 1987-2022 Steven Russell of Auburn was born in Birmingham, Alabama on August 25, 1987 and passed away in Auburn on April 14, 2022. He was 34 years old. Steven attended Hoover High School where he played football as a teenager and was a member of the Hoover Church of Christ in Hoover, Alabama. Steven LOVED Auburn University Athletics and was an avid fan of Auburn Football. He also ADORED his niece, Shae "Little One" and his nephew Jake "Jake the Snake." Steven and his family loved each other very deeply and his humor in "songs" and "names" he had for each of us will truly be missed. Steven is survived by his father, Ronal Russell and mother, Cheri Russell; sisters, Cindy Terry, Amy Mann, and Shannon (Dustin) Castoe; nephews, Russell (Christina) Mann, Jake Castoe; nieces, Olivia Mann, Megan Mann, Auburn (Blaine) Chason and Shae Castoe; great nephew, Mateo Mann and great niece, Marianna Mann and other family members including uncles, aunts, and cousins. Memorial service will take place at the Auburn Memorial Park Cemetery Fountain in Auburn, Alabama at 10:00 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2022. The family will receive friends following the service at the home of Ron and Cheri Russell from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Donations in honor of Steven can be made to Auburn University Student Affairs https://auburngiving.org/StevenRussell as they specialize in help for students who suffer with depression., anxiety, and bi-polar disorder.
