Steven Russell Thrift 1957-2021 Steven Russell Thrift of Opelika, Alabama was born in Washington on October 23, 1957 and gained his wings on January 31, 2021. He was 63 years young. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sally Baldwin Thrift and brother, Donnie Smith. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Vickie Sheppard Thrift; children, Brittney Thrift, Allen Garrett, and Taunya Ragland (Wayne); grandchildren, Trestin, Isabella, Brycen Garrett, BriAnna JazLynn Cobb, and Josh Cleveland; Father, Andy Thrift, as well as a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 4, 2021 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 4, 2021 with Steve Richardson officiating. Interment will follow at Garden Hills Cemetery.
