Sutherland Blake Buford, of Auburn, was born on July 26, 1990 in Huntsville, AL and passed away on May 13, 2014 in Auburn. He graduated from Grissom High School in 2008, where he was the State of Alabama Heavyweight Wrestling Champion for that year. He also attended Spartanburg Methodist College and was a member of the wrestling team. He coached youth wrestling in the Huntsville area. He was a huge sports enthusiast who loved his Crimson Tide and Atlanta Braves. Mr. Buford is survived by his fianc, Hallie Knight of Auburn; his mother and her husband, Michelle and Paul Booth of Valley, AL; his father, Bill Buford of Huntsville, AL; his daughter, Sydney Elizabeth Davis of Huntsville; his maternal grandparents, Debra and Troy Slaughter of Huntsville, AL; his paternal grandparents, Mac and Linda Lewter, and Tony and Melanie Buford of Huntsville, AL; his great grandmother Doris Slaughter of Madison, MS; his uncles, Scott Slaughter of Houston, TX, Curtis Buford of Huntsville, AL; and many great aunts, great uncles, and cousins in Alabama, Mississippi, and Kansas.
