Terry Barnes, Sr., 58, was born on February 14, 1956 in Gadsden, Etowah County, Alabama and passed away at his home in Opelika on January 22, 2015. Mr. Barnes was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Ruby Barnes; his brothers, Leroy Barnes and Kenny Barnes; and his sister, Dot Helton. He is survived by his wife Tommie Barnes; sons, Terry Barnes, Jr. (Reanne), and Cody Barnes (Leah); grandchildren, Trey Barnes, Blake Thrower, Bailie Barnes, Audrey Barnes, Vicente Ortiz, Brodie Barnes, and Trevor Barnes; great-grandchild, Tucker Barnes; brother, Glen Barnes; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 am in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home with Brother Aaron Pruitt and Brother Stan Renfroe officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.
