Thomas George Padgett

After a long illness, Thomas George Padgett has passed at the age of 74 on September 2, 2025. We would like to invite all family and friends to come to Frederick-Dean funeral home on Sunday, September 7th from 3-5pm for a visitation. The graveside funeral service will be held at 1pm on Monday, September 8th at Garden Hill Cemetery in Opelika, AL.

Thomas George Padgett is survived by his sons Chester (Keisha) Padgett, David (Marie) Padgett, and Shea Templeton; his siblings Hamp (Teresa) Padgett, Ronnie Padgett, William Presley, and Debra (Mike) Ward; his 12 grandchildren; his 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces; and many nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Oscar and Ruby Padgett; his mother Loutee Harris; and his siblings Donnie (Kathy) Rider, Eloris (Wayne) Carter, and Ricky Harris.

Thomas George Padgett lived a long life filled with his love of cars, Alabama football, and wheeling and dealing. Please join us in celebrating him.
