Thomas Carlton Spraggins

Thomas Carlton Spraggins of Dover, DE passed away, Friday, September 15, 2023 at

Kent General Hospital. He was 67.

Carlton was born August 19, 1956 in Opelika, Alabama.

Carlton was preceded in death by his father, Arlin Bennie Spraggins, mother, Lynda

Spraggins, and younger sister Regina O' Guynn.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Margaret (Ginny) Spraggins of Dover, DE; sons,

Christopher Hartly his wife Rena', Kyle Hartly and his wife Sarah; grandchildren, Lily,

Liam and Tilly Hartley of Ft. Worth, TX; sisters Lavelle Bledsoe, Renee Champion her

husband Chuck, Teresa Gentry; brothers Arlin Spraggins his wife Katie, Brian

Spraggins his wife Jennifer, Darrell Spraggins and his wife Dawn of Alabama.

He retired from the Army National Guard in 2011 as a Sergeant First Class, after 33

years of service during Vietnam and Desert Storm conflicts. Carlton was very proud of

his contribution to protecting the country. He was respected by all he served with.

Visitation will be held in the parlor of Frederick -Dean Funeral Home on Thursday, September 21, 2023 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m.

Committal services will be held in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Alabama at 9:00 am CDT on Friday, September 22, 2023.
