Verice "Clifton" Thrift, age 84 of Lafayette, was born in Clay County, Alabama on October 11, 1927 and passed away at his home on May 8, 2012. He was a member of the Twin City Masonic Lodge #76 for more than 50 years. He was son to the late Emory and Laura Thrift. Mr. Thrift was preceded in death by four brothers; two sisters; daughter, Glenda Thrift; grandson, Adam Price; and great granddaughters, Annabelle and Erin Newton. He is survived by his children, Marsha Thrift, Gletha Price, Joseph Thrift, Jessie Thrift, Charles Thrift, and Mary Folds; brother, Andrew Thrift; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
