Virginia E Lowman

Virginia "Doonie" Elliott Lowman, born May 25, 1950, passed away peacefully at Bethany House on September 10, 2025.

Virginia was retired from Union Grove Baptist Church, where she served as secretary. She enjoyed sewing, crafting, baking, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Ira Edward & Mary Evelyn Elliott, her brothers, Robert McCollister and Ira Edward Elliott Jr, her sister Sandra Farley, brother-in-law James Gaskin and great granddaughter Rosalee Foster.

She is survived by her daughters, Gina Lowman, Kimberly Moore, and her son Matthew Lowman, grandchildren Maryssa Moore (Joshua) Garsee, Richard Trask III, Ryan Trask, John Trask, Peyton Moore (Jacob) Foster, great granddaughter Emma Moore, sisters Joyce Gaskin and Jackie (Johnny) Wilson, and best friend Phoebe Henderson as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Special thanks goes out to Bethany House and EAMC 6th floor staff. You all are amazing and were a great comfort to us all.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 14, 2025 from 1:30-2:30PM at Frederick Dean Funeral Home followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 2:30PM. Interment will follow at FarmVille Baptist Church Cemetery.
