Obituary

Wayland Lee Dunn, Sr. 1936-2021 Wayland Lee Dunn, Sr. of Opelika was born to the late Henon and Beatrice Criswell Dunn in Nashville, Tennessee on August 28, 1936 and passed away at East Alabama Medical Center on February 10, 2021. He was 84 years old. Wayland attended Montgomery Catholic High School Class of '54. He was the proud co-owner and co-operator of Twin City Meats, and when he was not working he enjoyed traveling (especially cruises), Motorcycles, and Alabama Football. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Henon A. Dunn, "Jr." and Charles Dunn. Wayland is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lois "Marie" Dunn; daughter, Lisa (Tim) Meloy of Dadeville, AL. son, Wayland (Stacy) Dunn of LaFayette, AL. grandson, Shawn Nochumson of Auburn; sister-in-laws, Tenice Zerbe, Juanita Hillis, and Carolene Wu. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 13, 2021 in the Parlor at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Graveside will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Garden Hills Cemetery Saturday, February 13, 2021. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to The Girls Ranch 174 Samford Drive Camp Hill, AL. 36850.
