Wilma Louise Prickett Childs

Mrs. Wilma Louise Prickett Childs, 94, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Compassus Auburn Bethany House.

Wilma was born in Clay County, Alabama. She graduated from Henry G Clift High School. Wilma worked many years, she worked at M Sewing Room (Opelika Mill), M Snower Sewing Room on Pleasant Drive and Leshner Mills, where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Martha Childs Noles.

Wilma is survived by her husband, whom she was married to for 76 years, Charles E Childs; son, Charlie (Pam) Childs; daughter, Wilma (Daryl) Feige; Grandchildren, Ann (Gary) Wood, Amy (Woody) McTier, Amanda (Jamey) Baker, Christa Irwin Harrelson, Tina (Daniel) Ogden, Phillip (Rhiannon) Hood, and Keith (Ailee) Hood; Great-grandchildren, Abbey (Jon) North , Hannah Grace Wood, Maggie Wood, Laney McTier, Alex Aycock, Liam Ray Aycock, Amelia Aycock, Skye Harrelson, Elijah, Elizabeth, Ellis, Emily, Evelyn and Esther Ogden, Davis Hood, Olivia Hood, and Emma Hood.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 27, 2025 from 10:00AM - 11:00AM at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in the Parlor followed by a service at 11:00AM in the Chapel. Interment will be at Garden Hills Cemetery.

Frederick-Dean Funeral Home is assisting the family with all arrangements.
