1941-2024
Former Staff Sergeant Winston C. Powell, United States Army, was born in Opelika, Alabama on June 3, 1941 and passed away at his residence in Opelika on January 9, 2024. He was 82 years old.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymon and Louise Powell.
He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Powell (Rachel); three grandchildren, Chloe, Gavin, Isal; sister, Elizabeth Ann Hale; brother, James "Jim" Powell (Mona) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
A memorial service will be held at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home in the Chapel at 2:00PM on Friday, January 12, 2024 with Reverend Zac Gardner officiating.
