Dr. Carl H. Clark, DVM, MS. PHD arrived in Auburn in 1953 Head of Department of Physiology at the age of 27- He served as Head until 1992 a total of 39 years. Development of graduate program offering MS and PHD degrees, oversaw growth in faculty from 3 to 11. Established College and University wide Animal Health Research Program and a University Safety Program. He taught over 3,000 Veterinarians through his career. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joanne Longman Clark; son, Kenneth W. Clark (Cathy); grandson, Hunter W. Clark; granddaughter, Della C. Rodriquez (Anwar), Hannah K. Clark, and Casey Luschen (Bob); great grandchildren, Emma and Amelia Luschen; brother and sister in law, Bob and Donna Longman. Memorial Service will be held Friday, September 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home. A visitation will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions can be to the Carl H. Clark Annual Award, College of Veterinary Medicine 104 Greene Hall Auburn, Alabama 36849.
