Gladys Louise Thomas was born August 16, 1937 in Fairfax, Alabama and died February 11, 2017 at Arbor Springs in Opelika, Alabama. Gladys was preceded in death by her parents, JP Thomas and Mildred Forehand Thomas Brantley, and her brother and sister-in-law, Hugh and Sara Thomas of Atlanta, Georgia. She is survived by loving cousins and dear friends. Gladys spent most of her life in Auburn, Alabama. She graduated from Lee County High School which later became Auburn High school, and studied at Auburn University. For many years she worked as a bookkeeper. Gladys was a devoted life-long member of Auburn First Baptist Church, 100 Glenn Avenue, Auburn, AL 36830. In lieu of flowers friends may make a memorial donation to the church or to a favorite charity. A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Frederick-Dean Funeral Home.
