Raymon Powell, age 99 of Opelika, was born June 9, 1914 in Elmore County and passed away on December 4, 2013 at Arbor Springs in Opelika. He was a member of Pepperell Baptist Church, Twin City Masonic Lodge #76 of Opelika, Alabama. Mr. Powell was preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Louise F. Powell. He is survived by his children, Winston C. Powell, Ann Hale and husband Jimmy, Jim Powell and wife Mona; seven grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 6, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Tallassee, Alabama, with Reverend Roy Aldridge officiating.
